For the 24th consecutive year the Anne Arundel Crosse Over Tour sent a team of Anne Arundel County-based girls lacrosse players to England for a two-week tour of the country and a slate of lacrosse games.

The 2016 Crosse Over lacrosse game was held on Saturday afternoon at Northeast High School in Pasadena. The Anne Arundel County Bucs challenged the Metrogirls, from the United Kingdom.

EDGEWATER, MD — Girls lacross players from Anne Arundel County had the opportunity to travel to England for a two-week tour of the country and to battle it out against overseas teams in the 24th annual Anne Arundel Cross Over Tour.

"The British are coming! The British are coming!" Well, actually the small group of Britons in question arrived in Anne Arundel County from "across the pond" last week and instead of embarking with rifles and cannons, they were armed with lacrosse sticks.
